My name is Mimi Oppenheimer.
I enthusiastically practice private tour guides in Israel for more then 20 years.
I am a certified tour guide to Israel, carrying a license from the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
It is always a great pleasure and highly rewording for me to travel in Israel with people whose interest is to see, learn and experience the holy places, landscapes, old cities such as Jerusalem and Jaffa, modern and energetic cities such as Tel Aviv, multiple cultures and the colorful diversity of this wonderful country.
I take particular pleasure in combining the dreams and stories of my guests with the actual sites and scenes that were the origins for these dreams and stories. It may be the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem. The Western Wall and newest trails through recently discovered projects in the city of David, and The Muslim quarter in old Jerusalem, The Dom of the rock. The Dead Sea, Masada, See of Galilee, the Negev and so much more. All combined with the stories of thousands of years of history, culture religions, geology and so much more.
I offer tours that are centered about the three monotheistic religions that sculptured the history of Israel and the world. Judaism, Christianity and Islam played main roles in the history and the culture of nations. The places, the struggles and the magnificent heritage of these great powers become vivid in my customized private tours.
I am well familiar with tourist highlights as well as the special places usually visited only by Israeli travelers. Car trips that involve mainly scenic point stops will provide magnificent view of Israel. On-foot trips through streams, underground caves and open ground will provide the adventure seeking tourists. I drive my own certified Tourist vehicle (Eshkol Car) and I have room for up to 7 passengers. For larger groups up to 18 people, I offer a Mini Bus and private driver.
